A village of astonishing natural beauty awaits the unsuspected visitor approximately 150 kilometers away from Athens. Luxuriant vegetation, silvergreen olive groves, pine trees touching the surface of the sea and long beaches compose a variable landscape, a colourful painting of exquisite beauty.
It is the most developed resort of the municipality and the seaport of the village Artemisio with a good infrastructure in tourism. There are hotels, rooms to rent and fully furnished studios (there are approximately 20.000 beds available). Tourism is developed on quite a big scale. In the summer various products are displayed and sold at the port by the producers themselves.
"flying dolphine hydrofoils" leave daily for the Sporades islands (it takes about 20 minutes to Skiathos, 45 min to Skopelos and 60 min to Alonissos).
