The fishing village of Ilia lies some 8 km south of Loutra Aidipsos. It developed in the last 70 years. In the village Ilia flow just like in the village Gialtra hot mineral springs. Ilia became by degrees of the inhabitants of Polylofo, from Fischern which at the coast worked and of inhabitants of the obvious monastery populated. It lies of the foot of the Teléthrion mountains, with that 892 m high Gipfel Balánti and the H. Ilias with 977 m. Visitors may stay in rented rooms or studios and enjoy the local seafood and other fine dishes. In the antiquity the oak forests of the Teléthrion are mentioned and its wealth at medicinal plants. The steep coast of the cape Stavros, only the small bank level exhibits ( here one finds the former monastery Ilia with antiken rests) became only forwards approx.. opened for 15 years with the road from Aidipsos to Limni. Before the people was depend on shipping traffic.
